The event is not about imagery….it’s about insight – @futuradosmil on instagram
It was a great evening to kick off Fashion Night Out the socialites, models, were adding up toward the end of the evening to see Mr. McGurr’s past decade of collections – FUTURESHOCK, curated by the cultural consultant Nemo Librizzi, the exhibition promised a number of unseen works from the artist.
Andy Valmorbida introduces the famous New York City 1980’s graffiti artist Futura who had a load of artists like Alberto Mugrabi, China Chow, Dustin Yellin, Russell Simmons, Kool Keith from Ultramagentic MCs, Trashhand, Jakuan Melendez from 360 Toy Group, graffiti artist Stash, the famous New York photographer Ricky Powell, NY hip hop historian and artist Fab 5 Freddy, Clayton Patterson and media moguls such as Yu Ming from Freshnessmag, Nitrolicious, Vashtie, RVCA and Bill Spector.

It was an amazing evening for the artist, his daughter Tabatha McGurr and his son The 13th Witness came to support their father which must have been a proud moment for dad.
Futura even dropped to the floor by me to sign his book for architect Steve Ramirez and began drawing swiftly in his book.
